We are currently hiring a SAP ABAP Developer on behalf of one of our leading global clients to support their ongoing SAP transformation and enhancement projects.

Role Overview

The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of SAP ABAP programs and custom applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in ABAP development and a good understanding of core SAP modules, working closely with functional consultants and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain RICEFW objects — Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user-acceptance testing.
Conduct performance tuning and optimise ABAP programs for efficiency.
Support production issues, analyse root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
Create and maintain technical documentation according to standards.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Support SAP upgrades and S/4HANA migration projects as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3–6 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP programming.
Expertise in:
- Reports, SmartForms, SAPScript, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, and Data Dictionary Objects.
- Integration using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ABAP-OO concepts.
Good understanding of key SAP modules (SD, MM, FI/CO, etc.).
Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and code optimisation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Added advantage:
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Familiarity with Fiori/UI5, OData services, and SAP Cloud Platform.
