GCP Cloud Architect

We’re looking for a Senior GCP Cloud Architect to design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on GKE and related services. This role involves leading architecture, optimizing cloud-native applications, and collaborating closely with DevOps teams to maintain a robust and automated environment.

Location: Hyderabad / Mumbai – May consider Remote with ocassional Travel arrangements
Duration: Long-term Assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable GCP environments, especially using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Manage core GCP services including Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), GCS, Artifact Registry, and Source Repositories.
• Ensure performance, availability, and upgrade management of GKE clusters.
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance through tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bash, and YAML.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and lead infrastructure-related decisions.
• Enable seamless deployments and hot configuration updates for containerized applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in cloud architecture roles with hands-on GCP expertise.
• Deep experience with GKE, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), and container orchestration.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Terraform, Bash, YAML).
• Proven DevOps experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with dynamic configuration changes without pod restarts.
• Understanding of GCP security best practices and IAM.
• Prior work on data archival strategies and package management workflows.
