Data Analyst / Data Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid / On-site as required)
Duration: 6-month contract

We are looking for a Data Analyst / Data Engineer to support business reporting, data analysis, and insight generation across multiple business functions.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse data, and deliver high-quality dashboards, reports, and data solutions that enable informed decision-making. You will play a key role in improving data quality, consistency, and usability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Design and deliver clear, meaningful dashboards and reports for business users
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports

Data Engineering & Processing

Develop, optimise, and maintain SQL queries and data pipelines
Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
Work with structured and semi-structured datasets from multiple sources

Stakeholder Engagement

Engage with business users to gather and clarify reporting and analytics requirements
Translate business needs into technical specifications and data solutions
Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

Data Quality & Documentation

Monitor data quality and resolve inconsistencies or anomalies
Document data definitions, logic, and reporting methodologies
Maintain and update analytics documentation and data assets

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Proficiency in SQL and Python
Good understanding of data visualisation best practices
Experience building dashboards and reports for business users
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience

Nice-to-Have

Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar
Exposure to data modelling and performance optimisation
Experience working in enterprise or large-scale data environments
