Cloud Developer (GCP + Python + Airflow)

Full Time Remote India – Consultant Role

About the Role:

Hireflex is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Developer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, and Apache Airflow. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of containerization, API development, cloud-native deployments, and automation pipelines. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud-native applications and APIs using Python and frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Deploy microservices and applications on GCP Cloud Run, leveraging Docker for containerization.
• Implement and manage data workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Develop, maintain, and secure cloud infrastructure using GCP services including:
  • Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage
• Apply best practices in GCP security, including IAM configuration and networking.
• Build and expose services via API Gateway tools (e.g., Kong, Apigee).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Optimize data pipelines and ensure reliability and observability in deployments.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong experience with GCP and its core services.
• Proficient in Python and frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Proven experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration of workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Docker: building and deploying containers to Cloud Run.
• Good understanding of GCP IAM and security best practices.
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Basic working knowledge of API Gateway tools (Kong, Apigee, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of serverless architecture in GCP.
• Exposure to Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery in production environments.
